There used to be a time when our beloved kings used to have multiple queens. Infact, even today the same notion holds true for some. Then why not women can have multiple spouses?
We talk about Gender Equality but fail to recognise the need behind the idea of multiple spouses. The whole idea of gender equality seems irrelevant to this question. On the other hand, Gender Equality might seem to be the only reason.
What's your take on this issue?

I don't think we could handle multiple spouses in this age. One seems more than a handful and of course there are other problems like lack of time,sky-high expenses,etc,etc.

While I believe "variety is the spice of life", having multiple spouses means increasing your pain and problems manifold.. Putting up with one is such a big task, I can imagine the kind of havoc it will create with so many spouses... "More the merrier" is not so good here.. :) @dheera_
dekho allow toh kar do there is no basis of not legalizing something that most people are already doing. though I don't see the point in getting married unless someone enjoys multiple pains in the ass.
What I personally feel is that neither men nor women should have multiple spouse and if one wants that I feel they more than dedicating life to one person are interested in change and time pass, all what matters is that one soul you need to completely give yourself or nothing, multiple means dividing yourself in to parts which makes it hell for all of them!
NO. It is not right at all! Marriage is meant for TWO people that are in love and that cherish each other. If men/women want more than what they have than they should not even get married at all. Obviously SOME people do not understand the TRUE meaning of love anymore.. @Nashiliankhein
I believe handling one spouse is a big task... and its a punishment for entire life.. so its better to flirt around zyada khush rahoge ;)

Though not accepted by our society but y not :p urrm I don't have a valid reason but ya I would gurantee that one day the person would realise that who's the actual person whom he/she really wants to be with till the time they grow old

No..no one should be allowed to have multiple spouses. Neither men nor women. Because no one can adjust these things in their busy lives. Moreover it's not good for the future of their childern also !! ( @the_mental_bwoy )
No way! In fact, they should stop one marriage as well! How can men remember anniversary when so many sports scores and statistics are to be remembered!! @EkBilangChota
I dont think the idea of multiple spouses would work. Though people practice such things but we all know what happens in the end. Neither it is good for the people involved in it, nor it is good for their children. I might sound a bit conservative here, but I dont think having multiple spouses is a good idea.
