Valentine's Day, a day to celebrate love. A day for the people in love. But no longer for the people in love. Valentine's Day as per the recent trends has emerged to be a great Marketing Technique. It has now turned out to be a profitable day for Entrepreneurs.
"Get a 30% couple discount"
"This Valentine's Day gift your better half a diamond with D'Dmas"
Enough to say it all?
Do you really think it is a day to celebrate love and genuinely spend time with your valentine on this day OR you're busy buying your special someone the discounted gifts because you can't resist the lucrative deal?
What's your take on the Valentine - Love OR Marketing?

Agree 110%, Valentine's Day for the companies is not a day of spreading love but filling their pockets. Love is a feeling, an emotion, which doesn't require any thing material to be expressed. All the crap doled out by the companies is nothing but marketing gimmicks, that's all!

Whatever it is, one thing is proved that people spend a lot to make their loved one's feel special and maybe many or most of the companies take the advantage to earn and what's wrong, it's like a season to earn and for a lover money doesn't matter when they get an atmosphere which makes the two feel special!
yeah it is for sure.nd for those who behave desparately for this day probably do not find themselves in love rest of the year.nd this stupidity is cashed by all the stuff toy, card making companies.they convince that if u buy ur loved one gifts on this day,u r worth their love.
Depends on how you take it. For me, it is a day when you tell a person how much they mean to you. Though, people say why do we need a special day to tell this to someone we love, but I say, why do you celebrate your birthday on a particular date ? Celebrate it everyday. Throw parties and ask people for gifts, clearly no one does that. Its kind of impossible and stupid too.
As far as marketing goes, as long as feelings of a person are not commercialised, I am okay with everything.
Absolutely! one should not depend on discounts for their love! ;)
